EMAS Clout Tournament

A new EMAS team tournament was hosted by Kettering Archers on 27th March.
Derbyshire entered teams in all 3 categories along with Notts, Lincs and Northamptonshire. Leicestershire did not field any teams.

The barebow team WON
The longbow team came 2nd by only 14 points.
The recurve team came 3rd

There were also 3 other awards. One for each individual with the highest overall score in each bow type and 2 of these were won by Derbyshire archers.

Sandra Bennett shot the highest barebow score.
Paul Cosier shot the highest longbow score.

So yet again a great performance by Derbyshire archers.
Winning 3 out of the 6 available awards.

We are saddened to hear of the loss of Dave Riley and I'm sure that all Derbyshire County Archers and clubs will offer their condolences to Daves family. He will be missed by all that knew him and had the pleasure to shoot with him over the years.

Jess Riley sent the following message:-

Congratulations to all of the teams that took part in the 2010 summer league and very well done to the two clubs that divided the five disciplines between them. Pastures Company of Archers won the Longbow, Junior and Handicap events with Derwent Bowmen winning the Recurve and Compound. Thank you to all of the club members that found time to attend the fixtures and support your clubs as without the clubs few would aspire or attain to the heady heights of the GB squad! So keep that support going - club loyalty is important! See results page for full details.
