Sidney Bond Memorial Trophy 2007
Washingborough, Lincoln 22nd July 2007 Conditions: Sunny with a blustery wind.
With 4 of our top scoring juniors not available it gave me an opportunity to select some of the county’s up and coming young archers. We entered a full team of 8 recurves and 3 compounds.
It is worth noting that: Four of the top five scoring recurve archers had never represented the county before.
The youngest was only 10 years of age. This bodes very well for the future. The Recurve team finished in 3rd position (only 5 points behind Nottinghamshire). The Compound team finished 2nd
I would like to thank all the juniors and parents that helped to make this team shoot a success - also Ian Baston who stood in as team manager in my absence.
